Sport England are offering primary schools up to £30,000 to spend on creating sports spaces.
But you must apply now.
Priority in this round of additional sports funding is being given to primary schools which currently have little or no outside space which can be used for P.E. or sports sessions.
But, of course, simply having no usable space is not enough.
In order to be considered for this funding you must show that your school has a commitment to PE and sport and the capacity for improvement. For example, you may have a concrete playground that could be turned into a multi-sport area.
All applications must be received by Monday 24th March, and Notts Sport is able to help you with the technicalities so that you can get your application in.
This won’t in any way commit you to working with Notts Sports on the project, should you be awarded the money, but obviously we do hope that when the money arrives you will consider continuing with us.
Notts Sport’s multi-use games areas are designed for schools with limited budgets or limited space to deliver a full-size synthetic pitch.
As such they are an excellent alternative to asphalt or tarmac pitches for school playgrounds and offer great performance compliant for a wide variety of sports and informal games.
These surfaces are highly resistant to vandalism and built to endure heavy daily use with minimal maintenance.
You can find more information on the Sport England Primary Spaces project and also an application form at www.sportengland.org/primaryspaces
Please do download the application form now, and then call us on 01455 883730 if there is anything in the application that you would like to have clarified.
