How to bring creativity to coding projects for free

Primary teachers are apparently “nervous but enthusiastic” about the new programming elements of the Computing curriculum this September, according to an article by the Guardian.

Compatible with the free programming tool SCRATCH, Serif DrawPlus provides a creative way teachers can combine vector drawing for sprite design, with SCRATCH to teach pupils how to code.

And if you email computing@serif.com – Serif will send you a free copy of DrawPlus X6 to keep.

In DrawPlus, pupils can draw and animate objects to create their own sprites, before saving as an Animated GIF to import into Scratch, or choose to use one of the many characters from the DrawPlus clip art gallery. Creativity isn’t often associated with programming, but by using DrawPlus with Scratch, pupils can be imaginative and inventive.

For your free copy of DrawPlus X6 (worth £79), email computing@serif.com quoting ref ‘DPSCR’

Offer limited to one free copy per school, with licences available from just £13 a user – but we guarantee you’re under no commitment.
